Executive coachingExecutive & Life Coaching · Kirkland, WA and Online
You don't need more information. You need more awareness. Through the Sabio Method, executive and life coach Bill Gauthier helps leaders and high achievers see the hidden patterns creating friction, so the capability they already have can finally show up.
Successful. Accomplished.
You may not have a motivation problem. You may be living in survival mode.
Many successful people unknowingly organize their lives around fear, pressure, control and old emotional patterns. Over time, survival mode drains energy and keeps us stuck in constant doing rather than fully living.
None of this means something is wrong with you. Part of you is still trying to survive when you're ready to thrive.
How it works
The distance between what you're capable of and what actually shows up when it matters. Most people assume they need more skill. Usually the capability is already there.
Fear creates friction through reaching and resisting: chasing outcomes and control, or pushing back against what's already true. Friction drains the energy you need to perform.
Awareness lets you see the pattern while it's happening. Once you see it, you can let it go. Less friction, more alignment, and your natural capability comes through.
The gap shows up everywhere, whenever the stakes rise.
Has a swing capable of 68 and shoots 76 once a scorecard is in hand.
Knows exactly what to say, until the deal becomes important.
Trusts their judgment, until the pressure rises.
Responds wisely, until fatigue sets in.
The Method · Alignment Intelligence™
One is organized around fear. The other is organized around trust. Energy spent protecting can't also be spent expressing, so the path you're on decides how much of you is available.
Where friction comes from
The way home
Trying to force reality toward what we want.
Trying to keep reality from being what it already is.
Alignment doesn't create potential. It reveals the potential that was there all along.

Golf as a mirror
A golfer operating from trust sees feedback. A golfer operating from shame sees judgment. From The Way Home
Golf exposes whatever is hidden inside you. It doesn't care how smart or successful you are, and it certainly doesn't care how badly you want perfection. The best players in the world make about half of their eight-foot putts.
The same missed shot can become information or identity. That difference shows up on the course, in the boardroom and at the dinner table. Golf is where the Sabio Method was tested first, and it remains one of the clearest places to practice it.
About Bill Gauthier
I was born in Madrid into two very different worlds.
A systems thinker, convinced there was always a way. He taught me how to find leverage.
A flamenco teacher, painter and storyteller. She taught me how to dance before I found it.
Around my eleventh birthday we moved to a small farming town outside Seattle, and three weeks into the school year I broke my femur. My body healed. My trust in life didn't. I learned to protect myself instead of express myself, and to think instead of feel.
The world rewarded it. I spent more than 25 years in technology, starting as a program manager at Microsoft in the early days of the internet and later leading global partnerships with Microsoft, AWS and Google Cloud for companies like Wipro, Blue Prism, HackerOne and SonarSource. I learned how organizations work, how decisions really get made and how to see the hidden rules inside complex systems. From the outside it looked like I'd found my calling. Inside I was a chronic overthinker, anxious and exhausted, and a quiet question sat beneath every achievement: is this really it?
I wasn't becoming someone new. I was reclaiming someone old.
Golf, the game my father and I shared, became the mirror that showed me. Seven years ago I noticed there was a voice in my head and an awareness watching it, and that they weren't the same thing. Today I help others find the hidden patterns creating friction in their lives, so they can experience greater clarity, confidence, freedom and flow.
The Book · Fall 2027
Part memoir, part investigation, part field guide. It's the story of a boy who lost trust, a man who found success, and a human being who eventually discovered they were not the same thing.
More than that, it's an invitation to look at the gap between the life you're living and the life trying to emerge through you.
